About John Heaney

Media Stream is an Albany, New York video production company founded by award-winning Producer/Director John Heaney. John created Media Stream to offer businesses and organizations a smarter, more flexible alternative to the traditional production company—delivering high-quality results while remaining cost-effective.

Before launching Media Stream, John built his career in the New York City production industry, developing creative strategies for hundreds of film and digital projects. His experience includes work for organizations such as the U.S. Navy Seabees, National Grid, General Electric, United Technologies, New York State agencies and healthcare institutions throughout the tri-state region.

John previously held senior production roles at Rainbow Media and Cablevision. His work has earned numerous industry honors, including Addy, Telly, Aster, BOLI, Axiem, NORI, Communicator, Cancer Awareness and Videographer awards. He is a graduate of New York University, where he earned his degree in Film and Video Production from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
