Media Stream produced this award-winning fundraising video for Friends of the Rockefeller State Park Preserve to celebrate the organization’s 20th anniversary and demonstrate the preserve’s importance to the Westchester County community.

The film highlights the natural beauty of the preserve, its distinctive carriage road system and the work of the Friends organization to protect and maintain this historic New York State resource. Preserve supporter Bette Midler also contributed a special message celebrating the organization and its mission.

The Challenge

Friends of the Rockefeller State Park Preserve wanted to commemorate its 20th anniversary while helping supporters understand the preserve’s lasting value to the community. The video needed to celebrate the organization’s history, showcase the beauty and accessibility of the preserve and reinforce the importance of continued community and donor support.

The Video Solution

Media Stream created a story combining interviews, scenic footage and the history of the preserve’s unique carriage road system. The production demonstrated how the Friends organization helps maintain and protect the preserve so its trails, carriage roads and natural surroundings can continue to be enjoyed by future generations.

Media Stream worked with longtime preserve supporter Bette Midler to contribute a special anniversary message highlighting the importance of the preserve and the work of the Friends organization.

The Result

The completed film premiered at an anniversary gala held on the Rockefeller family estate, bringing together longtime supporters and potential new supporters to celebrate the preserve and its mission.

The production was subsequently honored with an Addy Award for Branded Content & Entertainment – Non-Broadcast, recognizing Media Stream’s work on the project.
